Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Fopets ("we", "us") operates fopets.com, a digital health passport for pets. The data controller is [YOUR LEGAL NAME / COMPANY NAME], based in Spain. A contact email will be published here shortly; until then, you can reach us through our social media channels.
2. What data we collect
- Waitlist data: when you join our waitlist we collect your first name, last name, email address and your pet's name.
- Analytics data: if you accept analytics cookies, we collect anonymised usage data (pages visited, device type, approximate location at city level) via Google Analytics 4. IP addresses are anonymised.
3. Why we collect it and on what legal basis
- Waitlist: to email you about early access and product updates. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given via the checkbox when you sign up. You can withdraw it anytime by unsubscribing.
- Analytics: to understand how visitors use the site and improve it. Legal basis: your consent, given via the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set.
4. Who processes your data
We use a small number of service providers ("processors") to run this site:
- Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH, Germany) — stores our waitlist and sends our emails.
- Netlify (Netlify Inc., USA) — hosts this website.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) — website analytics, only if you consent.
Where providers are located outside the EU, transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision (e.g. the EU–US Data Privacy Framework). We never sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone else without your explicit permission.
5. How long we keep it
Waitlist data is kept until you unsubscribe or until 12 months after the Fopets app launches, whichever comes first, after which it is deleted or migrated to your app account if you create one. Analytics data is retained for 14 months.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can, at any time: access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw any consent you've given. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish supervisory authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).
7. Cookies
This site sets no cookies by default. If you accept the cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 sets its standard analytics cookies (e.g. _ga). Your consent choice is stored in your browser's local storage so we don't ask you on every visit. You can change your mind by clearing your browser data for this site.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify waitlist members by email.
