Why we built this

This started with a dog called Charlie.

Charlie is the reason Fopets exists. After one too many visits to the vet without the right documents, scrambling through emails to find his last blood test, and starting from scratch every time we visited somewhere new — we decided there had to be a better way. There wasn't one. So we built it.

Is my pet's data private and secure?

Completely. Your pet's health records are encrypted and stored securely. We never share your data with third parties without your explicit permission. You own your data, always.

Will my vet be able to use this?

Yes — and that's the whole point. Your vet doesn't need an account, an app or any setup. They scan your pet's QR code with any smartphone or type a short link, and the full health history opens in their browser. It works at any clinic, anywhere.

Does Fopets replace the official EU Pet Passport?

No — the official EU Pet Passport is a legal document issued by your vet, and you'll still need it for international travel. Fopets keeps a digital copy of it alongside everything else (vaccines, prescriptions, lab results), so you always have your pet's complete records with you even if the physical booklet stays home.

What if I already have paper vet records?

Perfect — just snap a photo of each document with your phone and upload it. It takes a few minutes to digitise years of paperwork, and you'll never have to dig through that drawer again.

Can I export my data if I leave?

Yes, always. Your pet's records belong to you. You can download all your documents and data at any time — no lock-in, no hoops.
